One of our favorite things at Frontier Marketing is celebrating together as a family. Recently, we got to celebrate our family getting a little bit bigger!
Our Founder and CEO Joe Bongiovanni got married to Brenda Steck in a beautiful ceremony at their home church in Algonquin, IL. Many Frontier team members and clients attended the festivities and had a fantastic time.
We’ve put together a little recap of the celebration so that you can share in our excitement for the happy couple!
When Joe Met Brenda
Joe and Brenda had been single for a while before meeting on an online dating site. After a couple of weeks of virtual chatting, it was clear that there was chemistry enough for a first in-person date.
They had a fantastic evening and shared a lot of laughs at a GreenRoom Improv show in Crystal Lake. It quickly became clear to both that many dates like this should follow, and so they did.
There wasn’t a lot that Joe and Brenda didn’t bond over. They shared a faith in God, a love of animals (especially dogs) and the same quirky sense of humor. They even realized that they’d grown up only a few blocks from one another and went to the same church and grade school. Only a couple of years separated them, or they probably would have been in the same classes!
It wasn’t hard to see these two were perfect for each other. Their family and friends caught on quickly and so did everyone here at Frontier Marketing. We met Brenda at last year’s holiday party and immediately understood why Joe was crazy about her. She’s kind, friendly and a joy to be around. So, naturally, we approved of the engagement.
The Big Day
The ceremony took place on a Sunny Saturday afternoon at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Algonquin, IL, the church they both grew up attending. The joyful and moving service was enhanced by beautiful instrumental string music from one of our clients, Innocenti Strings.
In attendance were Frontier team members Nikki, JoeBo and Diana and clients Bob and Kit Kauffman from Critical Thinking for Success and, of course, Sal and Sue Bongiovanni from Sal’s Pizza Company.
Once the new Mr. and Mrs. Bongiovanni had said their I do’s and left to a rousing ovation, everyone headed to the Elara Banquets Holiday Inn in Crystal Lake for the reception. The party featured many memorable moments, including a balloon release in honor of Brenda’s late mother Barbara beforehand, a cocktail hour, a delicious dinner, heartfelt speeches and plenty of dancing!
A lot of people worked hard to help make this event possible. Joe and Brenda would like to thank DJ Bryan Lerche, photographer Balmin Bingham, videographer Guy Batila, florist Jennifer Hunt and Linda from the Holiday Inn for all their hard work.
Once the big day was over, Joe and Brenda went on a long well-deserved week-long honeymoon in Maui. We wish them all the best as they start their life together.
