At Frontier Marketing, we’re always looking to the future of digital marketing. Our eyes are constantly on the horizon because we want to help our clients stay competitive in this ever-changing digital landscape.
As you can imagine, this doesn’t leave us with a lot of time to dwell on the past.
Nevertheless, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on all we were able to accomplish in this past year. After all, it’s important to celebrate our victories and appreciate the many blessings that come with this profession of ours.
So, without further ado, here are some of our favorite highlights from the year that was 2021!
Growing Our Family
We were extremely fortunate to add many amazing new clients and team members in 2021. We had the privilege of providing services for 11 new businesses in a wide variety of industries. For some, we created new websites and blogs to attract more customers. For others, we started sending out monthly email newsletters and weekly social posts to keep their existing customer engaged.
We are extremely grateful for all our new clients and can’t wait to bring them even more success in 2022!
Because we added so many new clients, we were also able to add new team members to help with the additional work.
Dion Macmeekin joined the team as an account manager in February to help us with all our extra accounts. He came with extensive client management and sales experience, and we’re thrilled with how he’s maintained awesome relationships with our clients.
We were also able to hire our awesome graphic designer, Kaylee Dahlen, in June. Her extensive portfolio of past work blew us away. And she has not disappointed as she’s created eye-popping branding, social media graphics, infographics, logos and more!
Finally, we received some much-needed assistance with content writing from Kylie Harris in August. She helped shoulder the load by crafting blogs, social media posts, email content and more. We appreciate all the support she provided as we ended the year strong.
Treasuring Long-Term Relationships
We’ve been in business for over seven years and have some clients that have been with us the whole time! These long-term client relationships continue to be our favorite part of providing cutting-edge digital marketing services year after year.
When we started out in 2014, Algonquin Chiropractic Center, Angel Water and FEI Chicago were among the first organizations to trust us to provide services for them. We’re thankful for the opportunity they gave us and proud of the results we’ve been able to give them. In 2021, we continued to refine our strategies for each of these organizations to help them continue to grow. It’s been a lot of fun and a great joy to work with each of them.
Adapting in an Unusual Time
The pandemic has created many unique challenges for small businesses throughout the country. We’ve seen firsthand how difficult these obstacles can be both for our clients and our own business. Nevertheless, we’ve persevered and adapted to help companies stay afloat during this trying time.
This adaptation has taken many forms depending on each client’s needs. For some, we’ve helped them determine which services they can scale back to save money and still be successful. We’ve also helped clients effectively communicate vital information to their customers via social media posts, email blasts and blogs.
Ultimately, as the pandemic continues, our promise to our clients is to continue to be as flexible as possible in assisting them. We’re always willing to go above and beyond to help small businesses thrive.
Upping Our Game
As we mentioned above, we’re always looking for ways to improve our marketing skills. And we grew a lot in this area in 2021!
One of the ways we did this was refining and optimizing how we create marketing plans. While we had previously developed a great marketing plan process, we wanted to refine it to make sure it was the best it could be for our clients. So, we started reassessing each part of the plan to make sure it was as valuable as possible for small businesses. We also did research to make sure we still lined up with industry best practices.
So far, the results of this refining process have been fantastic as we’ve optimized how we create target audiences and perform competitive analyses. We look forward to refining even more parts of the plan and providing them to our clients in the new year!
Another area we’ve grown in is creating paid ads for Google, Facebook and LinkedIn. Admittedly, these platforms do not make it easy to keep up with best practices. But through continual research, practice and testing, we’ve started seeing some amazing results for our clients.
Honestly, we can say the same for all the services we offer. Since each of our team members prioritizes education, we’ve been able to grow a lot compared to where we were at the end of 2020. And we’re sure we’ll be able to say the same thing by the end of 2022.
Providing Valuable Resources
Not only did we help our clients in 2021, but we also provided many valuable free resources for all small business owners. We do this because we’re passionate about seeing all local businesses thrive.
One of our favorite ways we did this was by leading a free webinar entitled “How to Promote Your Business on TikTok” for the McHenry Chamber of Commerce. Our resident social media expert Isabella Trikolas did a fantastic job leading the presentation, and the business owners that attended appreciated all the helpful information. Taking Time to Celebrate
While we’ve been working hard, we also know it’s important to have fun too. This year, we celebrated our 7-year anniversary! We also just recently came together and had a fun holiday party. It was nice to step away from our desks and celebrate in person with the team. We ate delicious food catered by Sal’s Pizza Company and played a game of white elephant with gifts provided by our fearless leader, Joe Bongiovanni. It’s a great pleasure to be part of a team that enjoys having fun together!
